How Do I Get Add-Ons?

The easiest way to get add-ons is to change the amount that you’re pledging by adding the amount of money for each add-on. To do this, you just need to click on your pledge, click “change your pledge” and put in the new amount. For example, if you wanted to get an Immortal Weaver ($15) add-on for your Forward Commander Pledge ($70), you would change your pledge amount from $70 to $85!

The other way to get add-ons is to wait until the campaign is over, and the pledge manager is released. Once you get the pledge manager, you have the option to purchase whatever add-ons you want, or even upgrade your pledge level!

Remember though, only money funded through the pledges unlocks stretch goals! So, if you know you want that extra Firebrand, add that money to your pledge level to help unlock more stretch goals!

How Do I Tell You What Faction I Want?

During the pledge manager, you will be asked which faction you want to get for your pledge!

If I Pledge For Multiple Starters, Do I Get Multiple Faction Stretch Goal Variant Models?

If you pledge for the Forward Commander, Head to Head, Skirmish Battle Force, Full Battle Force or Master of Time and Space, you’ll receive the faction rewards that correspond to the factions you select in the pledge manager, per starter. So if you back for the Master of Time and Space pledge level and choose all three factions, you’ll get the each of the faction rewards that unlock during this Kickstarter campaign. If you choose of the reward tiers above and choose multiple starters of the same faction, then you’ll receive a corresponding number of faction stretch goal rewards.

You’ll also receive a set of portable void gates for each starter backed for, if you pledge for any of the reward levels above.

Void Gates and Faction stretch goal models unlocked in the future will also be available as Add-Ons in the pledge manager, so if you want an extra variant model or an extra set of void gates but don’t want to pledge for multiple starters of the same faction, then you’ll be able to just Add-On that variant a la carte.

How Do You Determine Pricing For Your Pledge Levels?

Our pricing is consistent with how we price our hobby miniatures for normal retail distribution which we competitively price against similar products in the hobby miniatures category. These are fine-scale hobby miniatures, made by hand in Washington state. Unfortunately, that means unlike plastic miniatures made in China, there is no economy of scale. Whether we make 10 or 10,000, each model takes the same amount of labor and materials to make. The starters are actually discounted while also containing all of the additional components needed to play the game. The models, priced at their normal retail price would actually add up to over $85, so we’ve already discounted it to give it the best entry price we can, and we believe for what is going into the box and the value you will get out of the game, it’s a good deal. Note also that for our Skirmish and Full Battle Force pledge levels, we have built-in an extra discount while maintaining the lower cost of the models as they are priced for the starter. We understand the price can look steep compared to say, boardgames that you might see on Kickstarter, where they are able to get a lot of plastic into the box by taking advantage of the amortization of their tooling costs as they attract more backers, but that is not how our miniatures are made, so we have priced them according to the relative market price that you would find in a retail store.

How Many Sets Of Stretch Goals Are Included In The Retailer Reward Tiers?

The Retailer Sampler Package will receive all Micro and Digital Stretch Goal Rewards.

The Retailer Starter Package will receive all Micro and Digital Stretch Goal Rewards as well as one set of all Universal and Faction Stretch Goals unlocked during this campaign, for each of the three factions. For instance, when we unlock the $300k Faction Stretch Goal, that will add one variant Marcher Worlds Hunter, one variant Iron Star Alliance Paladin Commander, and one variant Immortal Weaver to the rewards total for the pledging retailer.

Note: it is one Faction Stretch Goal reward per faction, not per starter. The reason for this is that after extending our standard retailer discount on the product, there is not margin to cover stretch goal rewards for every starter. However, all of the Faction Stretch Goal rewards will be available to Add-On in our pledge manager, and as well, retailers will be able to receive the retailer discount on any case quantities (6 units per) of an item ordered in the pledge manager.

What The Heck Is A PLEDGE MANAGER?

A pledge manager is a web browser tool that allows you to control the funds you have pledged toward this project and make selections for the rewards you wish to receive after the project has ended.

Here’s how it works: once this Kickstarter campaign comes to a close on March 20, Kickstarter will charge your credit card for the amount of funds you pledge during the campaign. About 10-14 days later they transfer the funds (minus their cut) to an account connected to our Pledge Manager. We use Backerkit.

Shortly after that, you will receive an email invitation to the account we will have created for you in our customized Backerkit pledge manager. When you log in to your account, you’ll see a credit amount for 100% of the funds you pledged during the campaign and a menu of all the rewards you are eligible for based on your pledge level. At this time, you’ll confirm your shipping address and if you wish to add more funds to your account in order to upgrade your pledge level or just receive another reward, you’re free to do this. The pledge manager provides a great deal of flexibility for you to tailor exactly what you’ll receive. It’s kind of like an online store, except your funds pledged during the campaign will already be in your account when you sign in.

For overseas backers, the pledge manager is also where you will choose your shipping options.

Can I Magnetize The Weapons On My Warjacks?

If you are inclined to add magnets to your models so that you can swap weapons, we encourage you to do so. It will require some hobby work to drill out the holes and insert the magnets, but the material is there to work with.

Our studio recommends 1/8th inch magnets for the weapon connections and 1/16th inch magnets for the head connections.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
